Producing a Virtual Awards Event
This year, Holland Alexander produced the ACE Newspaper and Magazine Virtual Awards 2020.
We produced the same awards in 2018 and 2019, which were buzzing, major live events. However, when the global pandemic hit, we knew a live event would not be possible for the 2020 awards.
Instead of postponing the event until the pandemic was over, we saw it as an opportunity to bring the Newspaper & Magazine industry together during a difficult time and still celebrate the hard work and success, by producing the awards as a virtual event.
Our team worked hard to convert this extensive high-end live event, to an engaging virtual event. We used our expertise of virtual storytelling, high impact music, strong visual design to ensure that the virtual awards will be just as engaging as the previous two live awards events.
The broadcast platform allowed the attendees to congratulate winners as they were announced through the live chat feature. This feature gave our audience a chance to be heard and celebrate the awards together. Almost 1000 people tuned into the event and we received very positive feedback about how valuable it was to them.
We are proud to have created the first virtual ACE Newspaper and Magazine Awards and look forward to producing the 2021 Awards and working with ACE Circulation once again.
